In its early days, the City of Fishers was originally known as Fishers Switch, then Fishers Station. This Small Town and Trading Post was settled along the Railroad that connected Indianapolis to major economic growth. Fishers was nicknamed the “Nickel Plate” Station. Here you’ll find a growing hub of Food, Shops, and Entertainment. Join us on a Saturday Morning in the summer for a local Farmer’s Market! The focus of the Fishers Downtown “revamp” is all about tying the Community back to our Railroad beginnings.
