The small town atmosphere of Scappoose provides an equally charming community presence. Every year from mid-May through September, residents gather every Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to attend the Scappoose Farmer’s Market. Scappoose is also set on the opposite side of the Columbia River than Ridgefield, Washington, which celebrates the Ridgefield Big Paddle every year, an event where the masses get together to celebrate a day dedicated to a paddle down the river that’s complete with a festival, community breakfast, live music, vendors and more!
